What is needed
Yields 1 serving.
1 banana
45g rolled oats
125 ml plant-based milk of your choice
125 ml of water
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1 pinch of salt
2 tablespoons Pure Dark Maple Syrup
Sliced almonds
1 orange
Eight steps
Split the banana
In half.
In the saucepan
Mash the first half and combine it with the oats, one teaspoon of cinnamon, salt, milk, and one teaspoon of maple syrup.
Medium heat
Three minutes, stirring.
Low flame
Continue until it reaches a good density, about 6 minutes.
The other half
Cut it in half lengthwise.
In a pan
Heat a tablespoon of maple syrup with a teaspoon of cinnamon and combine with the two banana halves.
Candy
Cook, stirring occasionally, until well caramelized.
Compose
Pour the porridge into a deep bowl and garnish with flaked almonds, segmented orange, and caramelized banana.
It is served hot
Serve immediately. Porridge thickens as it cools: if you wait too long, it will become too firm.
For those with a sweet tooth, add another drizzle of maple syrup.
The ingredient
The variety used in this recipe. Dark, robust flavor: it holds up during cooking and stands out in a mixture.
