What's needed
Serves 4. The chicken should be marinated for a few hours in the fridge.
350 g chicken slices
1 teaspoon paprika powder
1 teaspoon curry powder
1 pinch of nutmeg
100 g green salad
Cherry tomatoes
Cubed tofu
Pecan nuts
1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
1 tbsp. Pure Amber maple syrup
Salt and pepper
Eight steps
Shredded beef
Cut the chicken slices and place them in a bowl.
The spices
Add paprika, curry, nutmeg, salt, pepper, and extra virgin olive oil.
Marina
Mix well with a spoon and leave in the fridge for a few hours.
Brown
Heat a pan and sear the beef strips over high heat on both sides, then reduce the heat and finish cooking, turning frequently.
Candy
When they are golden brown, turn up the heat again, cook for a few seconds, turn off the heat, and pour the maple syrup into the still hot pan.
Toss
Mix to lightly caramelize the "straccetti" and let it cool down.
The salad
In a salad bowl, toss the lettuce, cherry tomatoes, tofu, and pecans with oil and salt.
Merge
Add the shredded chicken to the maple syrup and serve.
Two things to know
Add the syrup when the heat is off. In a hot pan, it caramelizes in seconds; over an open flame, it burns.
