Ingredients

What is needed

Serves 6.

6 slices of cereal or wholemeal bread

150g Greek yogurt

40 ml of Pure Dark Maple Syrup

1 egg

5 strawberries

5g chocolate chips

½ kiwi

½ mandarin

40 g blueberries

Preparation

Seven steps

Oven at 180°C

Turn it on now.

Yogurt and syrup

In a bowl, combine the Greek yogurt with 30 ml of maple syrup.

The egg

Break it up and whisk it just enough to combine: you want a smooth cream, not whipped.

The bread

Arrange the slices on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.

Spread and decorate

Cream on each slice, then the fruit: blueberries, sliced strawberries, chocolate chips, sliced kiwi, tangerine segments.

In the oven

About 10 minutes, until the cream is firm but not dry.

Serves

Finish with the remaining maple syrup.

The board

Don't overbeat the egg

The bare minimum. You need a smooth cream: whisking it will make it puff up in the oven and then collapse.

Ten minutes, no more. Beyond that, the cream will dry out and lose the consistency that gives the dish its name.
