5 ripe bananas

4 tablespoons Pure Dark Maple Syrup

Pistachio topping (optional)

Preparation

Three steps

Freeze

Peel the ripe bananas and cut them into slices. Place them in a freezer-safe container with a lid and freeze them for at least 5-6 hours, or overnight.

Blend

Place the frozen bananas and maple syrup in a blender and blend at high speed until creamy like ice cream.

Serves

Serve with a topping of your choice.

Two things to know

The bananas must be ripe, not yellow. With spotted skin, they are sweeter and blend into a cream; unripe, they remain grainy.
