Instructions

  • Soak the raisins in warm water for at least 20 minutes.
  • Peel the apples, cutting two into cubes and slicing one into thin wedges.
  • Whisk the milk with the eggs and maple syrup.
  • Cut the bread into cubes and add it to the mixture. Also, add the cubed apples and the well-drained raisins, and mix thoroughly.
  • Line a baking dish with parchment paper and pour in the mixture, pressing the surface with the back of a spoon to create a compact layer.
  • Arrange the apple slices on top and finish with small pieces of butter.
  • Bake the pudding at 180°C for about 45 minutes.
  • Allow to cool slightly before cutting into cubes. Serve each portion drizzled with a bit of maple syrup.
